1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Stacktora ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The service
Stacktora generates configuration and bootstrap files (such as docker-compose, Makefile, CI and related files) from the stack you define. Generation runs in your browser. You are responsible for reviewing all generated output before using it in any environment.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information, keep your password secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including disrupting or overloading it, attempting to gain unauthorized access, reverse-engineering it, or using it to generate or distribute content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.
5. Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Intellectual property
The files you generate are yours to use, modify and distribute. The Stacktora software, brand, and website remain our property. The "Generated by Stacktora" attribution may be removed on eligible paid plans.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Generated configurations are starting points and are not guaranteed to be secure, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stacktora and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service or its output.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.

1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Stacktora collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
2. Information we collect
Your account details (name, email), a securely hashed password, the stack definitions and project names you save, basic security logs (such as sign-in attempts) used to protect accounts, and — for paid plans — billing identifiers from our payment processor (e.g. a Stripe customer and subscription ID).
3. What we do NOT collect
We do not receive or store your application source code — generation runs entirely in your browser. We do not store your real secrets: the app uses placeholders, and your real .env values stay on your machine.
4. How we use information
To operate and maintain the Service, authenticate you, sync your saved library across devices, process payments (via Stripe), send transactional email (such as welcome and password-reset messages), prevent abuse, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
5. Storage & security
Your account data is stored on our servers. Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), connections use HTTPS, and access is limited to operating the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so keep real credentials out of the Service.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use a single http-only session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences (language, theme) and any anonymous saved work. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run the Service: a payment processor (Stripe) for billing, a hosting provider for our servers, and email delivery for transactional messages. They process only the data needed to perform their function, under their own privacy policies.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@stacktora.com.
9. Data retention
We retain account data while your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (for example, billing records). You can delete saved projects at any time and request deletion of your account.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. International processing
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your province or country. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy.
12. Changes & contact
We may update this policy and will note the effective date. For any privacy question or request, email legal@stacktora.com.
